Blogs, blogs, everywhere blogs...

Happy Friday!!!

It seems this week - and even this MONTH - has just flown by!!! Where did it go, where did it go?!!?!

In the middle of sewing, crafting, junking...any and all trouble I can find to get smack into the middle of, I have discovered the wonderful people over in the junkrevolution community! Oh - there is SO much fun to be had!!! I have enjoyed throwing my 2 cents in on various subjects as well as lurking around on the blogs of creative geniuses - the masters (or would it be mistresses?) of junk - the purveyors of all things vintage, retro and "trashy". I am in awe of their blogs, their sparkly things, their vintage collections...my eyes are crossed from blog jumpin', my voice is shot from saying "look at this" over and over and over (I think my cat is now saying that...) and my living room has been re-decorated countless times over the past month!!!

Let me share some greatness with you!!!

I am now on the hunt for spoons...wouldn't that make a great back-splash? My lil' brother and I used to have spoon wars (don't ask...) - this would have been handy! Just grab and go!!! Thank You to belle maison!

And I'm thinkin' this would be FANTASTIC on my dining room wall!!! Thank You to Ann!

Since I don't cook (I tend to be a pyro in training...I thoroughly believe in explosive baked goods...) I can look to Margo for inspiration on re-using my spice bottles!!!

Let this remind you that you should never leave home without the required sparkly thing...
Thank You Meg (i think i stalk her blog...her style is GREAT!!! - you have to go check her out!!!)

Now I have to get to work! All of these blogs - and so many more - have me going 90 to nothin' on my quest to redefine red.neck style! I have duct tape, do travel and I don't EVER hesitate to use it.

Thank You Marge for truckin' in a list of blogs! Okay, yeah, that was bad, but you DO have to admire her truck...
(if there were only some cinder blocks under it...)

Have a great week-end - Happy Junkin' - and Welcome to March!!!

Comin' to you LIVE from a single-wide...

Tip: Roman Numeral One...

Displays displays everywhere!!!

“Looks matter! Think of creating your show display as if it was your own mini-store. Your display should be attractive, neat, organized and creative to get your customer’s attention and interest…”

Now THIS I can do!!! 3 file folders, a few notebooks and a box full of samples all equal up to the details of the “red.neck Chic” boutique! Is that an oxymoron or what?!!?

When “red.neck Chic” pulls off the cinder blocks and is let loose on society (watch out!!!) we will have…

Wood floors - that way you can have the occasional boot stompin' shin-dig...

I'm not sure if it will be a two story building, but if so, isn't this escalator great? Both are in an old Macy's building and they both have the lifelong dream (and have just been practicin' in the mean time) of ending up front and center in "red.neck Chic" - that's what i'm thinkin' anyway. ha!

A true red.neck can not continue on without the full use of cinder blocks...they are kind of like duct tape... so of course we would have cinder block walls with old barn wood chair rails to display all of the goodies!

Corrugated tin (holler if you have some!!!) base and crown molding…

Old (and a little worse for wear!!!) doors on the dressing rooms (quiet punny if I do say so myself...) - all different colors and styles - all found somewhere - anywhere!!! And! You can't have a boutique without an outhouse....

Last but not least - cinder blocks used as God intended...

The required truck - or yard art, depending on location. (Can’t you see really fantastic “red.neck Chic” items for sale out of the back?!!?) And, just a little bit of "edge-you-ma-cation" for you...they are really red.neck jacks (they just had to get all sophisticated and acquire the new title of "cinder block" - but we all know the truth.)

Now. I am off to miniaturize “red.neck Chic” – this is most likely going to involve lots of paint, a few nails, a trip to my favorite junkin’ location (aka: my Moms…) – I will keep you updated on my results as well as my new tips, display ideas and hair-brained schemes!!!

Have a wonderful day!

Comin’ to you LIVE from a single-wide… (heehee)
