While pondering the fact that I am about out of tissues and too lazy (uh uhm - SICK) to go and get some more, I have decided to peruse my handkerchief drawer. Oh wait, that requires getting up from the sprawled-out-in-the-big-comfy-chair-position that I am in. So... here is what I have found in the Etsy handkerchief drawer!!!
A handkerchief (also called handkercher or hanky) is a form of a kerchief, typically a square of fabric that can be carried in the pocket, for personal hygiene purposes such as wiping one's hands or blowing one's nose, but also used as a decorative accessory in a suit pocket.
The material of a handkerchief can be symbolic of the social-economic class of the user, not only because some materials are more expensive, but because some materials are more absorbent and practical for those who use a handkerchief for more than style. Handkerchiefs are made of cotton, cotton-synthetic blend, synthetic fabric, silk, or linen.
Can you tell that I also hit wikipedia? hahaha chew (that's my drug-induced, cough-cough, sniff sniff laugh...)
Any-who, here are a couple of things hankys are good for when they are just TOO TOO pretty to live the life they were intended to live!
I am thinking this clutch is necessary for me to carry to the tissue store...
And this pillow is the perfect size to fit perfectly under my head while I'm in the sprawled-out-in-the-big-comfy-chair-position. Oh yeah!
Well, enough about my nose - how is YOUR nose? Have you escaped the winter and jumped into Spring without a cold? If so... that is just not FAIR!!! I am escaping back under the covers with my cat, my book and my hanky (so much closer than the store...).
Have a great evening - Happy Junkin' and I hope you don't have to wave your handkerchief for anything other than indicating surrender or flagging a truce! (there i go with wikipedia again...)
Comin' to you LIVE from a single-wide...
