or NOT to paint...
that is the question.
Should I leave the legs as-is (after some cleanup...) or should I paint 'em? You tell me...
Also... should we start takin' bets NOW or LATER on how many times "the Mindy" is going to roll her eyes as I bust out the red.neck Chic line of
Hey - I bet he bowls... and works on his sled too...
Spareme from my splitdecision... shall I paint the legs or leave 'em? I want this table to look incredibowl...
Comin' to you LIVE from a single-wide (where sometimes when I look at a pile of pocketbooks it runs through my mind that I could be skitzo...) hee-hee

P.S. What did one bowling pin say to the other? "Hey you! You're a knock-out!"
*giggle*

I would leave the pins alone--they are cool as is--but I would paint the wood top to accent the pins! Love your wonderful unique bags!!
ReplyDeleteYou "bowl" me over with your cute cleverness!
ReplyDeleteDebbie
CLEAN, don't paint!...save the paint for my table base and light fixture ;^)
ReplyDeleteXXOO
Leave them alone!!! But do clean them first! I love the way it looks!
ReplyDeleteI say leave as is, they have character.
ReplyDeleteSassy - I thought about that!!! I have several color options floatin' in the empty space that comprises my head...
ReplyDeleteTrashDiva - I learnt from the very best!!! xoxo
Mallie and T - I'm also considering THAT option... I love this coffee table!!!
JayBird... why does your list of things for me to do keep growing and growing and growing? Geesh... ;-D xoxo
They look cool just the way they are!
ReplyDeleteGonna miss you guys at Zapp. I can't make it this time. I'm bummed..... Maggie
Maggie - NO!!!! I'm going to miss YOU!!! Does bribery of any kind work to get you there?
ReplyDeleteBlack. Paint them black. Or not! ~Mindy

Black Mindy? I coulda sworn you would say "white - and add some rust" or somethin'!
That would be great for workin' on a monster truck! :-)
ReplyDeleteI think they would look great painted, but let the next owner do it and make them think it was all their idea!

ReplyDeleteDON'T PAINT !!!! (Unless you just want to Clear Coat them so they'll shine)
ReplyDeleteRustoleum makes a GREAT spray-can enamel Clear Coat product.
Clean 'em up and see what you've got !

ReplyDeleteummm, i don't know...i'm an "as is" kinda girl! i say finish pricing and see how much time you have! oooooH!
In my humble Cali Girl opinion...DO NOT PAINT!!!! Love the whole idea of this piece & the original bowling pins make it even BETTER!!!! Great idea you crazy redneck! I'll be seeeing you sooooooo soooooooon, will be looking for duck tape.
ReplyDeleteSmiles,
Susie
Okay - it's official... I'm not gonna paint the table legs - or the top! Well... or the pocketbooks for that matter...
ReplyDeletehee-hee
Thank You everyone!!! Come see it live and in person in Warrenton - it'll be there!!!
I'm too late to vote?!?! Because....I say paint the stripe on the pins. Tape it off and paint it over and why? Because I have some of these similar pins and the fluorescent stripe bugs me...I'm sorry I have to be honest. It will still look original just get rid of the fluorescent. But, then again I may be too late. But, dang! I like to give my 2 cents! Have a great weekend ruffling! You know I bought a beeeeeautiful blouse at a garage sale yesterday that won't fit anyone here but I loved the ruffles and will repurpose it. I'm pretty sure you've influenced me!
