and I gasped - out loud - when I saw Snow White's (aka: Mary Margaret) hat. Oh! I have to have that hat!!!
Sew off to the laboratory I go. The first one I made out of gray felt... that didn't work so well (imagine a top hat...). The second attempt (you know... where a girl feels like she knows what she's doing...) I killed a perfectly cute sweater by sewing two pieces upside down. Have you tried removing a seam from a sweater? *eye roll and a few choice words*
Third attempt:
It's just not right.
comin' to you LIVE from the laboratory where I could potentially become the had matter before perfection is achieved...

OH MY GOSH!!! That turned out amazing!!! Seriously, you absolutely ROCKED it! I am such a hat freak anyway! (My lights were flickerin' up here for a bit, must have been from YOUR laboratory!)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE how it came out. I would soooo wear that beauty. You ARE the madhatter! You really really are!

It's reallly close!!!!! I'm loving it! I think Snow's hat is just a little thinner, right. But I still LOVE the one you made Mad Hatter!!! :)))
ReplyDeleteI think your 3rd attempt is fabulous! Although, I think your model has a bit less personality than you do so could you show us the hat on your pretty head? :)
ReplyDeleteHave fun... becareful of the Madhatter Syndrome!

This is so cool! I find so many neat ideas on your blog. I'm still obsessing over those fold down cowboy boots. I haven't found a pair that I like yet at the Goodwill store but when I do I am making myself a pair of those. Now I have to add this great hat to my list of projects!!!
ReplyDeleteRobelyn..you rock! I think yours is absolutely adorable, and you made it! It's a Robelyn Original. I'll bet it looks really cute on you...love the trim on the side.
