I wish WISH I could do that. I have a hard enough time figuring out how to make my $20 cellphone go. Heck. I have a hard enough time keeping tabs on my $20 cellphone. Oh the places it's been. Dumpster diving isn't always just for great junk. And sound system wires? Don't even get me started.
I'm old school AGAIN this year. I'm super picky about my planner - it has to have the right number of columns, line spacing, the right size, etc. etc.
and the pen has to be a really cheap one with a medium point - preferably stolen (they just write better). HA! I scratch in where I'm supposed to be and when... work orders, status updates on the work orders... and anything else that pops in to my disorganized mind. My planner is my "safekeeping" spot. Sometimes I even remember to carry it along with me.
Are you high-tech or are you still cruisin' through the same "old-school" halls with me? Have any dates you need me to write in and keep up with? I'm all over it!
comin' to you LIVE from a single-wide where I'm so technoNOTsavvy that I was DVR'ing shows but didn't know how to watch them 'til a year later... hee-hee

P.S. Here's Janet's info because she's so incredibly cool... you need to go visit her!!!

By golly, I still use paperclips, full size calenders, cheap pens, notepads, scratch paper ( I even use my recycling paper...all cut up in squares)....could I get anymore redneck?
ReplyDeleteI will never figure out all the ins and outs of the these new gadgets...and at my age, why would I want to. I am off to read my hard copy pocket book...no Kindle for me! lol
... & give up PINK paper clips?!? Nevah! evah!
ReplyDeleteHave a beautiful week ~

Girl...I'm so old school I use a Big Chief tablet and #2 pencil!
ReplyDeleteSeriously...my day planner consists of scratch pads Cat Daddy brings home from work. I've got about humpteen-cagillion on my desk right now and every one of them has something scribbled on 'em. Now when it comes to pens, I'm the picky one! I got to have a chunky, smooth writing pen. Cheap just don't cut it for me and I guard 'em like they're golden. I love fountain pens especially. Something about the way they feel in my hand and seeing the ink flow makes me all crazy inside.
If you ever want to see me do the happy dance...let ol' Santy Claus bring me a monogrammed pen and pencil set (Cross or Vector..please, please, please)and the feathers will be flying from all the tail shaking going on at the Casita de Trash!
'Course...I could do a lot with a PINK day planner!
Deb
I'm with kpaints, old school all the way !!!
ReplyDeleteoops I do have a Kindle though !!
Seriously old school for me. You are leaps and bounds ahead of me if you can work the dvr. I'm still trying to figure out how to change the design on the blog!!
ReplyDeleteI'm pen and paper all the way...baby!
ReplyDeletelike you...I need columns, dates, *note* pages...etc.
love the pink! although I more of a lime green myself! Pat
I am a paper and pen gal! I keep monthly calendar pages, each followed by a clear plastic insert (to hold the reminder cards, birthday cards, etc...) in a binder on my desk. I've tried to migrate to an online calendar, but it's just not convenient. Oh well....
ReplyDeleteOh - I love my DVR but my kids had to show me how to work it. As for organization - I have been fighting it all my life. I'm a hands on girl and have a stack of pretty notepaper by my computer that I use for ideas and reminders. But, I do use my old phone for occasional important reminders. It has such an annoying sound but gets the job done
ReplyDeleteWe're walking down the school halls together. There is only so much 'tech' I can do. I LOVE paper and pen the best. Oh, I'll put work things on the computer all right, and then in the book just in case the computer crashes. My notebook has never crashed, not even once;)I might not be computer savy but I am one step ahead of it;)

I'm so glad to read your posts again old friend!!! Don't feel bad...my son says I'm outdated....sigh. I just want to play my nintendo and listen to my cassette tapes again.
ReplyDeleteCount me in for OLD SCHOOL! It is so funny to read all the comments and everyone is old school, yet we are all sitting on the computer right now!
ReplyDeleteNow that I'm "retired", I don't use a day planner, but I gotta have MY notebook and MY notebook has to be just the right notebook. I'm with Deb on the pen too. Gotta be one where the ink flows. Ball points kinda drive me crazy. I will walk all over the house looking for the the exact perfect pen!
Two bits, four bits
six bit a dollar...
All for OLD SCHOOL
stand up and holler!
Yeah!

I'm trying hard to be high tech...I'm somewhere in the middle of the road. However, I gave up "organizing an planning" not by choice awhile ago. Just fly by the seat of my pants now with the hopes of being organized again someday!
